Parsec streaming2/10/2024 You'll need a friend (host) with about 25mbps upload to handle 3 other friends to join their session. Parsec is a screen sharing program that you can play local coop-only games online. Parsec has a strong lead for low latency gaming from a remote host, with significantly lower latency than Steam Remote Play for games like Apex Legends and Dota. Additionally, Parsec offers built-in support for co-op gaming, allowing multiple users to connect to the host PC and play games together. I travel quite a bit and this would mean not having to cancel or change nights.įG classic works perfectly on my home PC, I am streaming Windows to a MacBook Pro, and I heard from one of my players that this issue would not happen as much once Unity is released.Īny advice on how to get classic running with this setup would be greatly appreciated. The two big coop game-streaming platforms are Parsec and Steam's Remote Play Together. As for the video codec used, Moonlight uses ol’ reliable H.264 (mp4), while Parsec uses a custom coded specialized in offering low-latency streaming and great quality. A good time was had by all, but I would very much like to be able to host while streaming remotely. I play no mans sky, witcher 3 and other games just fine, theres no problems, however when i start game called 'Grim Dawn' it play fine for like 20 seconds, then framerate becomes extremely choppy, like parsec skips every 10 framerates, whats even weirder is when it starts to do that, when i pause the game and go back to playing it. I WAS (however) able to join another table and had no problem playing the one shot one of my players had up his sleeve. I ran the test on the starting screen but it failed. Last night I tried to run Fantasy Grounds and was able to get into the table myself but my players could not do so. I am running Parsec to stream my home PC remotely to my laptop (many leagues away).Īll of my regular PC games stream silky smooth even on crappy hotel wifi. If this is in the wrong section, feel free to correct me.
